The Woolworth Building

Description

The Woolworth Building is a landmark Neo-Gothic early American Skyscraper constructed between 1910 and 1912. Between 2015 and 2018 the top 30 floors were converted to luxury apartments and Nicholson and Galloway was contracted to perform the following work:

  • Removal and replacement of over 18,500 square feet of cold fluid applied roofing
  • 440 linear feet of GFRP roof cresting
  • Permanent rigging system
  • Over 3,350 pieces of new terra cotta units
  • Repairs to over 3,900 existing terra cotta units
  • Over 12,500 square feet of cast stone dead level pavers on pedestals
  • Restoration of marble coping stones at historic pool
