Nicholson and Galloway awarded St. Patrick’s Cathedral Terraces
Our history with St. Patrick’s Cathedral dates to the 1960’s-70’s where we did a lot of routine maintenance work on the heavily carved Gothic landmark’s marble façade. We are pleased to announce that we have returned to the landmark having been awarded the waterproofing of the Cathedrals North and South terraces the 51st Street Sidewalks and repair of the Cathedral Skylight. Scope of work includes:
At the North Terrace
Removal and installation of 5,000 square feet of waterproofing
Removal and installation of 100 linear feet of concrete curbs
Removal, salvage and installation of 36 stone steps
Removal, salvage and installation of gratings, railings, planters and pavers
New drains and piping
At the South Terrace
Remove, store and installation of landscaping, copings, fencing, fountain and gratings in planter area
Removal and installation of 1,131 square feet of waterproofing
51st Street Sidewalk
Removal and replacement of 1,053 square feet of sidewalk
Furnish and install 860 square feet of new membrane and waterproofing
600 square feet of brick replacement and pointing
Cathedral Skylight
Repair 8 skylights
Removal and storage of all glass
Remove and reset skylight frames with new blocking
Clean gutters and downspouts
