St. Patrick’s Cathedral

Designed by James Renwick Jr. in the Gothic Revival style and constructed between 1858 and 1878, St. Patrick’s Cathedral is an Individual New York City Landmark and a National Historic Landmark. Ongoing leakage into mechanical spaces under the plazas required repair, and Nicholson & Galloway was contracted to perform the following work:
- 6,730 cubic feet of soil excavation
- 4,500 square feet of existing plaza demolition
- 6,000 square feet of new concrete pitched fill
- 7,000 square feet of Kemper Waterproofing
- 5,000 square feet of new bluestone pavers on pedestals
- 4,000 square feet of new concrete sidewalks and curbs
- 8 skylights restored
