The Knickerbocker Club

Description

The Knickerbocker Club was designed by Delano and Aldrich, constructed in 1915, and is an Individual New York City Landmark. After a century of exposure to the elements, the marble cornice and roofing were failing and required immediate attention. Nicholson & Galloway was contracted to perform the following work:

  • 8,000 square feet of masonry restoration
  • 225 linear feet of marble cornice and balustrade reconstruction
  • 2,200 square feet of new Kemper roofing at the penthouse
  • 124 linear feet of balconies restored on the 2nd floor
  • 27 balconettes restored at the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors
  • 1,500 square feet of Ludowici tile at the penthouse facade
  • 1,500 square feet of new metal deck and concrete slab
  • 1500 square feet of Kemper Roofing and concrete pavers
  • 500 square feet of copper roofing and flashing
